Room 109
Series Synopsis
Think about someone you love. If you were asked why you loved them, you would base much of your answer based on true facts you know about that person. It’s the same with Jesus. If we claim to have a relationship with Jesus, can that relationship exist if we don’t know objective truths about him?
In a world that is skeptical of absolute truth, Christians need to know not only What we believe, but Why.
On July 18, Alathea begins a new thirteen week series that covers the most important doctrinal truths of the historic Christian faith, based on a book written by Pastor Mark Driscoll and Dr. Gerry Brashears. The study of theology can sometimes be intimidating, or difficult to connect to practical Christian living, but the reality is that the very aim of theology is to know God, and answer the question of how we should live in light of knowing him.
Join us as we learn and discuss questions such as “Why is theology important? How is the doctrine of the trinity applicable to my life? How can we know the Bible is the inspired Word of God?” May Christ be glorified as we learn how the knowledge of God translates to powerful transformation in our daily lives!
“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” (Romans 12:2)
