Pastor Charles was born in Houston, TX. He attended the University of Kentucky in Lexington, where he graduated in 1984 with a degree in Spanish. Having originally intended to teach Spanish at the college level, Charles set his sights on law school midway through his undergraduate studies at U.K. He graduated from the College of Law at U.K. in 1987. Charles was converted to Christ during his university studies, largely through the evangelical preaching he began hearing at a downtown church in Lexington. Charles completed his seminary studies at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, North Carolina, by earning his Master of Divinity in 1995. Pastor Charles has shepherded 3 congregations during his 21-year ministry: Christ Covenant Church in Raleigh, North Carolina; North Oldham Baptist Church in Goshen, Kentucky; and the Winnetka Bible Church in metro Chicago. Charles and his wife Eileen have one son, Joshua.

Clint
graduated from Seattle Pacific University with a degree in Christian Education and received his Masters of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary in 1986. Clint, his wife Amy, and their five children, Christy, Daniel, Josh, Nathan & Madelyn live in Mission Viejo. Clint has served as a Pastor here at our church since 1988. He was ordained with the Evangelical Free Church of America in 2002. Working with a team of Deacons and ministry coordinators, Clint oversees the Deacon ministry of the church as well as areas of community life within the church body. He also works with the administrative functions of the church. Clint loves to read, snow ski, and take walks with his family.

Jeff graduated from Cal State Fullerton in 2002 with an English degree and Secondary teaching credential, and in 2006 received his Master of Divinity degree at Talbot School of Theology in La Mirada, CA. While Jeff is involved in a number of different ministries at the church, his primary focus is with the elementary-aged children, and young adults. In his free time he enjoys reading, playing guitar, running, and spending time with his wife, Robin and baby girl, Evangeline.

Passionate about God and His students, Jared has been serving in youth ministry since 1996. He has earned Bachelors degrees in Christian Ministries and Biblical Studies from Azusa Pacific University and a Master of Divinity degree from Talbot School of Theology. Jared is also an AWANA Citation award winner and has served as Pastor to Students at Christ Community Church of Laguna Hills since 2007. He and his wife Melissa reside in Aliso Viejo, CA.

Matt graduated from the University of Redlands in 1990 with a B.S. in Biology and again in 1993 with a M.S. in Communication Disorders. He worked in the hospitals for several years as a Speech-Language Pathologist and during that time he furthered his education by receiving a M.A. in Christian Apologetics in 1998 from Biola University. Matt was then called to teach at Biola University in 1999 in the undergraduate Communication Disorders program where he continues to serve as an Associate Professor and chair. He has continued his education while teaching at Biola by obtaining a doctorate in Speech Language Pathology from NOVA Southeastern University. He is also working on a Master of Theology degree at Talbot School of Theology. Matt came on the church staff in June 2007 to serve part-time as Pastor of Adult Ministries. He and his wife Chrissie were married in 2000 and currently live in Mission Viejo. They have two girls, Torie & Lexie. Matt has been a member of Christ Community Church of Laguna Hills since 1994.

Adam grew up serving at Grace Bible Church, an Evangelical Free Church in Arroyo Grande, California. In addition to serving as a music intern at Grace Bible from 2001-2004, he completed his B.A in Music with an emphasis in trumpet performance from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 2003. In 2006, Adam went on to complete his Master's Degree in Music with an emphasis in choral conducting from Cal Baptist University, Riverside, under the direction of Dr. Gary Bonner. Furthermore, Adam has served and participated in the Gary Bonner Singers. He and his wife, Kami, were married in August of 2004 and currently live in Rancho Santa Margarita. They have two wonderful Boston terriers, Roxy and Yoda, whom they love and adore.

Don is a graduate of Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and was a student in the Talbot and Trinity Doctor of Ministry programs. He is our Pastor of Missions. Pastor Don teaches adult Bible studies, and expands Christ Community’s presence on the mission field by partnering with other pastors and churches. He and his wife, Lyndon, share this vision and passion to mentor pastors and their wives, particularly in the Philippines – where Don helped establish the Institute for Biblical Studies with the EFCA. Don and Lyndon enjoy living in the beautiful coastal city of San Clemente near his three daughters and nine grandchildren, who are an absolute delight and who keep them busy during Don’s semi-retirement years. The Smiths have a constant and loyal companion in their golden retriever named Chloe.

 


Garret Nagle

Garret began serving as Pastoral Intern to Christ Community Church in August, 2009, and divides his time between teaching a young adult bible study and leading high school student discussion groups. As a Master of Divinity student, Garret is currently studying at Talbot School of Theology and graduated with a B.A. in Communications from California State University, Fullerton in 2007. Garret and his wife Karyn live in Ladera Ranch and enjoy reading, music, cooking and their Labrador named Calvin.
