P9061593 copy.JPGChrist Community Church of Laguna Hills began as a home Bible study in 1968 with the help of Wally Norling, the EFCA's District Superintendent. Church services began in 1969 at Mission Viejo Swim and Racquet Club, and the church was chartered in 1970 as the Evangelical Free Church of Laguna Hills by thirty charter members. After meeting in a variety of different locations for a few years, the current property in Laguna Hills was purchased in 1971. The facility has undergone several expansions, the latest completed in February 2009, which provided the church with a new sanctuary.

In our 40-year history, five senior pastors have served the church, beginning with Pastor Arno Wiebe in the summer of 1970. Pastor Bill Hull assumed leadership in 1976, followed by Pastor Jim Walker in 1980, Pastor Don Smith in 1984, and Pastor Charles Moore in 2009.

In 2013 we began a pastoral search, Pastor Joe Bubar served as Interim Senior Pastor. In December 2014, we called Pastor Ric Rodeheaver to serve as our senior pastor. He started in February 2015.

For 40 years the church has stood firm in its commitment to Christ-centered worship, relevant Biblical preaching, and dynamic family-oriented fellowship. God willing, Christ Community Church of Laguna Hills will be a church where He is honored for yet another 40 years. To God be the glory in and through this church, now and evermore. Amen!
