Special Speaker: Karin Spiecker Stetina teaching on "Holiness"
I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and came to saving faith as a young girl through the presentation of the gospel by a Sunday school teacher. During high school and my time at Westmont College, I began to own my faith and have a deep conviction of the authority of Christ and God’s Word in my life. After college, I earned a MA in Theology from Wheaton College and a PhD in Historical Theology from Marquette University. I have taught Theology and Church History for over 20 years at Wheaton College and Biola University. I met my husband, AJ, while working with the high school ministry at Winnetka Bible Church. We have been married for 20 years and have 4 amazing kids, Caroline (16), Ellie (13), Cole (11), Alex (8).
I am a member at Grace Ev. Free in La Mirada and serve on the Women’s Ministry Team and as a VBS leader. My husband and I also serve as volunteers at Awana, at Green Hills Church. I currently hold the position of Associate Professor of Biblical and Theological Studies at Talbot School of Theology, Biola University. I am passionate about teaching the bible and theology that is aimed at loving the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength and loving our neighbors as ourselves (Mark 12:30-31). My research interests include Reformation Theology, and theology of education. I have authored books, chapters, and articles on John Calvin, Jonathan Edwards, Martin Luther, and how to read theology. I am also a contributor to thegoodbookblog.com. In my free time I love to spend time with my family, run, and read.
